0845 Numbers
0845 numbers have traditionally been used by businesses as Customer Service contact numbers. The cost of calling an 0845 number from a BT Landline is usually around 3p per minute during the day and 1p per minute evenings and weekends. The cost to receive calls to a UK Landline via an 0845 number can range from Free up to 2p per minute dependent on the services provided.
In some cases it is FREE to divert to UK Landlines and many International Landlines Destinations.

0870 Numbers
0870 numbers were introduced by OFCOM as a means of RevenueSharing Telephony whereby The Caller paid for the call, and the subscriber was able to get a Revenue Share from the Telephone Service Provider.
OFCOM has since banned revenue sharing on 0870 numbers because of abuses by subscribers. Whilst we provide 0870 numbers on a NON REVENUE SHARE basis, we highly recommend that existing subscribers migrate their 0870 numbers to the newer 03 telephone number range as the cost to the caller is significantly lower.
